Terms of service
The agreement between Hellow AI and the businesses whose phones it answers. Plain terms, no surprises.
The service
Hellow AI provides an AI phone receptionist, configured and operated through the Hellow AI Fulfillment console at https://app.usehellow.com. It answers calls using only the information a business has given it: its hours, services, prices, boundaries, escalation contacts and answers to common questions.
Every configuration change is tested by scripted callers before it can go live. A version that does not pass that test cannot be put on a phone line.
Accounts
Access is by invitation. You are responsible for keeping your password and any invitation link private, and for everything done under your account. Tell us immediately if you think an account has been compromised.
Your responsibilities
- The information you give the receptionist must be accurate. It will repeat your prices, hours and policies to real customers exactly as configured.
- You are responsible for the legality of call recording where you operate, including any consent required. We provide the disclosure controls; you choose the settings.
- You must have the right to forward the phone number you connect, and to authorise any calendar or CRM you link.
- You may not use the service for unlawful calling, harassment, or anything that would breach telecoms rules in your jurisdiction.
What an AI receptionist can and cannot do
The receptionist is instructed never to invent a price, a time slot, a policy or a person, and to say it will have someone confirm when it does not know. It is still software: it can mishear, and it can be wrong. It is not a substitute for professional, medical, legal or emergency advice, and it must not be relied on as an emergency service. Callers with an emergency should be directed to the appropriate emergency number.
We grade calls continuously and raise the ones that fall short for a human to review, but we do not warrant that every call will be handled perfectly.
Fees and billing
Subscriptions are sold and charged through Whop. Prices, billing periods and renewal terms are the ones shown at checkout. We never see or store your card details. If a subscription lapses, the account is paused rather than deleted: your configuration, calls and reports remain and can be reactivated.
Your data
Your configuration, calls, transcripts, recordings and reports are yours. We process them to run the service, as described in the privacy policy. You can export or request deletion at any time. Recordings are deleted automatically on the retention schedule you choose.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running continuously, but it depends on third-party telephony, model and infrastructure providers and may be interrupted. Nothing here is a guarantee of uninterrupted service unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as-is, and our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost business from a mishandled call.
Ending the agreement
You may cancel at any time through Whop; the receptionist stops answering at the end of the paid period. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms or puts the service or other customers at risk, and we will tell you why.
Changes to these terms
We will notify account holders by email before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
The governing law and venue are those stated in your order or written agreement with us. If none is stated, the law of the jurisdiction in which Hellow AI is established applies.
